Special information
As you shop for that special wall, be sure you consider the size of the frame and mats! This will add an average of eight inches to each dimension....

Smaller works of art may use less than the three or four inch mat width. A good framer will be happy to work with your special needs.

Go prepared with snapshots, measurements and fabric samples in the room. Wonderful !

Best rule: never put skimpy mats on your art!
Ask your framer to use the best quality materials.

If in doubt about the quality of materials touching your art...ask what is best. If the framer is proud of their work...they will be happy to show you the difference!!! Cheap mats, backing materials and methods of attaching art to the mats can ruin what might become a very valuable print !!
